Reverting Negative Reports

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it our elders obtained a good report”-Hebrews 11:1-2

The main reason the elders embraced the faith of God in Christ Jesus is for the purpose of reverting negative reports. Faith is the greatest force in the universe by which all who would sincerely take hold of it ultimately obtains a good report. No negative report is a final verdict with a man of faith. A doctor’s report showing that cancer or any other so called deadly disease is in someone’s body is not final; it can be changed but this depends entirely on the faith of the person concerned.

The negative report once spread around Nazareth where Jesus grew up; that Jesus was crucified and buried. But three days later that report was changed; it was reverted to ‘Jesus has risen from the dead’. Jesus is the starter and the finisher of this our faith. he demonstrated that the power of faith is limitless. Death is meant to be the end of story for any man, but not so with the man whose heart is faith-filled. With Christ in you, no matter the loss you may have encountered it could be restored.

I took time to study the dictionary meaning of the word ‘obtain’. I saw that it meant getting something by your effort. That’s why the scripture says to us to fight the good fight of faith; Satan showing you an x-ray of a diseased organ, and you standing on the word of God to declare an emphatic ‘No! for the scriptures says himself took my infirmities; if he took the disease then I don’t have it!’ as you maintain this belief in your heart and declare it boldly with your mouth without wavering, you definitely will obtain a new organ. By your faith you will purchase a brand new organ for yourself from heaven’s store house of spare human body parts. Faith looks too simple to be real or true especially to men who are worldly wise. This is the simplicity by which God confounds the wise.

Remember the story of the woman who had the issue of blood for several years (see Mark 5:25-34). I am sure she initially thought that her money would purchase for her the healing she needed. But the physicians of her day ate up all her money and she then realized that she would die without divine intervention. She settled down to look around and saw healing for free flowing through the garment of the Messiah just around her neighbourhood. She knew that she needed a different currency to purchase this healing; the currency of faith. she had such huge faith that she didn’t even bother to seek for prayer from the Master. She understood the two steps needed; believe first in your heart that what you desire to get from God is possible now, speak and then take steps of faith. She simply touched the helm of the garment of Jesus and took her healing. Mind you, many others were rubbing themselves against the Master but were getting nothing from it because they were not doing it in faith. The Master called her out to show to us what great possibilities are ours for the taking by applying faith.

Friends, don’t get me wrong, I am not against medicines or medical science but God ultimately is the healer; he is the one who gives conception to the barren or unfruitful. You won’t miss your own in Jesus name! Amen. It is not enough to just pray, you must pray the prayer of faith; for it is the prayer of faith that brings a good report and saves.

This faith I am talking about is not just positive thinking. It is belonging to the kingdom of light. You must receive Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour first after genuine repentance. You can divide the Red Sea

“The Lord shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward: but lift thou up thy rod and stretch out thine over the sea and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea”-Exodus 14:14-16

The believer who would conquer by faith must not draw back. God fights for those whose faith is on the line. Going through the bible text quoted above, reading it from the verse 10 of that chapter, you would discover that the children of Isaac lost heart when they saw the approaching armies of the Egyptians in hot pursuit of them and the red sea on their pathway. They immediately forgot all the mighty works that God did through the hands of the Man of God, Moses their leader. They began to blame Moses for even coming to deliver them from their bondage in the Egypt that had lasted for more than 400 years.

Beloved, our God is the Faith Master, you must learn from him if you have to go from victory to victory in your faith walk. In the midst of the fears and uncertainty in the hearts of the people, Moses who was operating from the realm of faith spoke in verse13 saying; fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he shall show to you today, for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall se them again no more for ever! Remember that the years Moses spent in the wilderness was to seek to know the ways or principles of God. For he made known his ways unto Moses, his acts to the children of Israel (Ps 103:7). Faith speaks or declares what they expect to happen next!

You can’t be mindful of this ugly situation and expect to enter the new and the better, “And if truly they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country….” The power of faith can change any situation. Faith imparts strength to do the extraordinary; “for through faith Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed (see Heb.11:11). Sarah physically was not a young maiden; she was already in menopause but she received the needed strength to carry a baby because her faith was active.
The faith Moses demonstrated at that point saved that nation; and God spoke up in Verse 15. God was surprised that Moses was praying to him; And the faith God spoke as if the red sea was not even there; he said to Moses ‘tell this people to go on forward!”

Friend, the only way faith knows to go is forward! You may be experiencing sickness in your body, God expects you to go on forward to healing! You may have suffered loses, go on forward to your restoration. No red sea can stop you with God standing by you. God gave Moses an instruction that would sound absurd to many. He said to him; “you stretch forth your hand over that sea and divide it!”

Friend what God told Moses was recorded for us to hear and do the same! He has put born again Christians here to effect the change that pleases heaven. Jesus did not leave his blood here on the earth for nothing; that blood is to connect you to the same source of power which men like Moses had access to: the power of the Holy Ghost. God knows you can divide that red sea standing on your way and walk through on dry ground. Your red sea symbolises that seemingly insurmountable obstacle that may be on your way to your next level. When you face it with a heart full of the faith of God in Christ Jesus, the sea will see the great God behind you and flee! The rod in your hand is the word of faith in your mouth! Declare what you want to see happen for you. I can hear someone somewhere reading this declare boldly from their sick bed saying “In less than seven days I shall be out of this bed!” I join my faith with your own and say “so shall it be in the mighty name of Jesus. Expect to see it happen for you; leave the how for God to handle.
You are reading this and you want to operate in this realm of triumphant faith, the first step is to come to the living risen Saviour Jesus. Make him your personal Lord and saviour. Rules of Growth

Rules of Growth

“Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great and went forward and grew until he became very great: for he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him”-Genesis 26:12-14

God is a God of progress and growth, increase and greatness. Life is meant for growth. Take a serious look at the universe and you’ll understand that growth, progress and increase are what God desires for his creation. A seed becomes a tree that brings forth fruits which contain seeds that could be planted to continue the circle. People say that a tree does not make a forest; I personally believe that this is only half true. In the presence of a good cultivator, even a seed could become a forest. Farmers plant with the anticipation of growth. Growth is possible for you, especially when you are involved in a good work. But there are rules which if you abide by them, you certainly would begin to see growth in the area you desire in life.

1. Seek for God’s Instructions:
If you read from the first verse of that Chapter 26 of the book of Genesis you would discover that there was a famine in the place where Isaac lived and everyone obviously was seeking for greener pastures. And God saw that Isaac was also trying to tow the same line but God stopped him; “And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and I will bless thee”-Gen. 26:2-3a. The number one rule for growth is to seek to hear from God. For man does not see as God sees! God changes wilderness situations into fruitfulness. Every man’s growth and fruitfulness per time is a function of the ‘oil’ of God working in his life. As it is written; ‘thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runs over” oil in the scripture signifies the measure of God in your life. Christ in you is your hope of glory. What may look like a desolate place this night could become a fruitful field the next morning. Those who hunger for God’s leadings are made to lie down in pastures that may look dry now but God knows its becoming a green pasture soon. You will not miss your own in the name of Jesus. Friend, hearing from God is not restricted to only some believers, but you must give God the required attention and intimacy. Tune to his frequency and you can hear him.

2. Obey his instructions:
God values obedience to his commands. In fact Isaac was enjoying the dividends of his father, Abraham’s obedience to God. Your children will benefit from your obedience to God (See Gen.26:4-5). Isaac also had a choice of not obeying God when he asked him to remain in that land but he chose to obey. Then God gave him the security he needed for his required growth. Abimelech the king of that land then placed a death penalty on whosoever would touch Isaac or his wife. Without environmental security you cannot thrive. And this is given by God when he finds you faithful.

3.Sow in the land:
To sow means to get to work. No blessing becomes real in any one’s life except he or she gets to work. It is what you do that prospers (Psalm 1). God abhors idleness or laziness. You must get down to doing what you are called to do. God said Abraham obeyed his voice and kept his charge. Looking closely at the word ‘charge’ I discovered that it also meant responsibility or duty. God gave him work to do for him. He has a work for everyone; you must discover your own and apply these rules. And you shall definitely see growth. And the man waxed great, and went forward and grew until he became very great! This shall be your story in Jesus name. But growth is only guaranteed when you have the Lord Jesus in your life as your personal Lord and saviour. How do I do this? You may ask, then simply scroll up this webpage and click on “Meet With Christ”, follow the instructions there and your life would shine brighter. Shalom!

Walking in Miracles Everyday

“so Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee where he made the water wine. And there was a certain noble man whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went unto him and besought him that he would come down and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Then said Jesus unto him except ye see signs and wonders ye will not believe. The nobleman said unto him, sir come down ere my child die. Jesus said unto him, go thy way thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him and he went his way. And as he was now going down his servants met him, and told him saying thy son liveth. Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto, thy son liveth: and himself believed and his whole house. This again is the second MIRACLE that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judea unto Galilee”-St. John’s Gospel 4:46-54

A miracle is God’s work amongst men that make men to wonder. When a miracle happens people cannot explain it. Jehovah the Most High God works by miracles, signs and wonders. In case of a miracle, God alone is the causative agent that brings the effect that is the miracle! Miracles are free for all but those who walk in the realm of the miraculous take certain steps to receive it. The risen, living saviour Jesus still works miracles today, for he is the same forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Some essential steps that must be taken if you must walk in miracles:
1. You must know when you need a miracle:
A miracle is needed when you have tried your best humanly speaking, and the situation still remains hopeless if not worse. If you took time to read the bible text above, you would discover that the rich man must have tried using the best medicines to bring healing to his son and yet nothing good came out of it. Pride, most times blinds people so that they refuse to humble themselves before God and ask for their needed miracle. Go through the scriptures and you would discover that men who overcame great challenges that faced them in their day asked and received the miracle working help of God. From Jabez who was born to be honourable in life yet his days were marred with sorrow not until he demanded for a miracle from God (see 1 Chronicles 4:9-10), to King Hezekiah who was sentenced to die from an illness. Inspite of the fact that the prophecy of his imminent death came through the lips of a major prophet; the prophet Isaiah, yet he still sought God for himself and received his miracle. God sent the same prophet back to him to announce the addition of fifteen extra years of good health to his days, what a miracle (see Isaiah 38). Friend, God has not changed he can do the same for you too!
2. You must identify a man carrying the unction of the Holy Spirit to work miracles:
I guess this is where most people are being deceived. Despite the fact that satan nowadays presents himself as an angel of light, God still empowers his children with the gift of working miracles (see 1 Corinthians 12:4-10). Although many witch doctors have turned their shrines into Churches, the true power of the Holy Spirit is still present. For the presence of the fake shows that there is the real somewhere. You won’t be deceived! He could even use you too if you are born from above, or born again. That man that you read about in the bible text above was a king’s senior worker yet he left the palace and went by himself to look for Jesus and he begged Jesus to come and help him. But I don’t want you to misinterpret the message I’m passing across to you. Do not go seeking for miracles from church to church. Seek only to grow in the knowledge of God’s word and in your faith and you would begin to see miracles everyday. The noble man sought Jesus because Jesus is the Word of God personified.
3. You must believe that every Word-filled and Holy Ghost-filled servant of God works with authority from God (Matt.8:6-10. Your faith in God is the point of contact of the miraculous. Your own simple prayer of faith when you find yourself in a desperate situation can deliver miracles for you. Pastors and Church leaders can join their faith with yours, but you must build your own faith too. The man believed Jesus after he assured him of his son’s healing and stopped bothering him. Different men of God carry different graces, God simply confirms the word of his servant whom he has endowed with the gift of working miracles. And it comes to pass just as he has spoken. If you are reading this and you need God’s miracle in any area of your life, ask now in faith and you shall see it happen for you within the next 24 hours of your asking, in the Mighty name of Jesus! There is no distance in the realm of the Spirit. For the miracle working God sees all and fills all in all. But if you haven’t received this miracle working God as your personal Lord and Saviour, why don’t you scroll up to the top of this page again and click on ‘Meet with Christ’. Your life can’t remain in any rut! Shalom!
